Abstract
Digital reading has become increasingly important across genres and text types. Reading the news on digital media has become commonplace over the past two decades (Thurman & Fletcher, [jrir12337-bib-0047]), and the consumption of e-books may remain a permanent phenomenon. Statistics related to reading as leisure show that, for instance, more than 32 million e-books, excluding textbooks, were sold in Germany in 2018, which translates to about 5% of the total book sales (Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels, [jrir12337-bib-0004]).
