Abstract

The HIV epidemic has become an endemic infection. It is one of the world’s most serious public health challenges that need a global commitment to stopping new HIV infections and ensuring that everyone has access to HIV treatment. According to the UNAIDS (Joint United Nations program on AIDS/HIV), in 2018, 37.9 (32.7-44.0) million people were living with HIV worldwide: 36.2 (31.3-42.0) million were adults and 1.7 (1.3-2.2) million were children under the age of 15 . In the last three decades, over 2.3 million people have been diagnosed with HIV in the European region, according to World Health
