Abstract
The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has shed a crude light on the need of strong health care systems and what may happen when they are institutionally, and more broadly socially, neglected. Some (Legrand, ; Legros, ) have noticed in particular how the current situation revitalizes the theory and ethics of care promoted by Tronto (). This author has indeed emphasized the growing importance of paying attention to and taking care of others, and of establishing care and well-being as pillars of our societies.
