A quantum-mechanical model links cognition and quantum mechanics, outperforming traditional decision models in video-game decision tasks and explaining perceptual reversals.
What’s new
How they did it
The authors integrated quantum decision‑theoretic frameworks with video‑game experiments and perceptual tasks. They conducted three studies: Study 1 compared the quantum model to traditional models using the Deal or No Deal game; Study 2 applied the model to bistable perception of the Necker cube; Study 3 related quantum tunnelling physics to eye‑blink‑induced perceptual reversals.
