Abstract
4## Discussion Appropriate fear responses are adaptive, and disruption of fear memory can lead to an inability to avoid danger (Flores et al. ). Fear memory consolidation can be disrupted by various stimuli, including inflammation. Impaired BBB has been shown to play a role in memory deficit; however, it is not clear whether BBB deficit plays a role in LPS-induced impairment of fear memory consolidation. In the present study, we showed that LPS induced impairment of fear memory consolidation, accompanied by BBB hyperpermeability, microglial activation, and an increase in proinflammatory factor
