Perceived Nursing Interruptions During Medication Administration: Development and Validation of a Questionnaire Among Chinese Nurses

Abstract
An observational cross-sectional study was conducted in two phases. In the first phase, we developed the items comprising the Q-NIMA and conducted a pilot study to test its item clarity. In the second phase, we conducted a final validation study in which we assessed the validity and reliability of the Q-NIMA. From July to August 2025, we conducted a cross-sectional survey using convenience sampling to investigate clinical nurses in a tertiary university-affiliated teaching hospital in China.
